about the Farm, and the farmer Robyn Bowes

Crowsfoot Flower Farm started as a way to reconnect with the land, get my hands in the dirt and grow something beautiful. Growing up on a rural acreage in Northwestern Ontario, I was always surrounded by flower gardens and vegetable gardens meticulously tended by my parents, and was never without my own allotment to play and grow within.

After moving to British Columbia and working in the floral industry, I started to dream of having my own cut flower garden and was able to realize that dream in the late fall of 2021 when I leased a plot of land at Sea Change Farm and Nursery on Kirby Creek Road in Shirley, BC, and began to wheelbarrow around a seemingly endless amount of compost.

Each year has seen vast growth here at the farm, from the increase in land in production, to ever-evolving projects (more fruit farming in 2026, and the much-anticipated arrival of bees!), and the beautiful building of community.

We practice organic and no-till farming, prioritizing low impact methods (composting, hand-tending, natural fertilizers), as well as a soil-first approach to build health and resilience in our flowers. At the core of our garden planning is the regeneration of the land on which we are so grateful to work.

Our natural and whimsical floral design style is intended to help fill your home with bouquets and arrangements that are as restorative as they are beautiful.
